Why it’s hard to take landscape photos in the south UK

I find taking photos in the south UK area very challenging. It’s not because I have to drive for several hours to find some beautiful scenery, it’s more because of the difficulty to be at the right place at the right time, as the lighting is often not optimal. Now, I guess the best chance to find a decent weather is during spring and summer, however is right during this period when the sun will not either set or rise on the sea anymore. Have a look:

What’s your advice? How do you take beautiful sceneries in the south UK?

P.S.: For the few people out there who don’t know the software I used, it’s sun surveyor and you must be it if you want to plan landscape photography properly.
